Sanitation

Job Summary

Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of warehouse areas, building exterior, and dock areas. Implementing proper food safety procedures while ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety and sanitation regulations and policies/procedures are adhered to by following the Company’s Sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP)
• Keep chemicals, etc. in the appropriate storage areas and according to MSDS/know where MSDS book is located
• Responsible for the sanitation condition of all warehouse coolers, drains, floors, overheads, etc.
• Stock supplies in designated facility areas 
• Use and maintain company cleaning equipment; Floor scrubber, power washer, Pallet Jack’s, and various other equipment as required.
• Maintains all sanitation logs and records
• Work with the maintenance department to ensure proper sanitation procedures are met after any maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment has been performed s
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Follow all health and safety regulations 
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent 
• Proven working experience as a Sanitation worker/janitor
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Ability to climb up to an 8ft ladders or Platforms
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Strong work ethic
